PD Dr. med. Hischam Bassiouni is an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery and he is also the Director of two Neurosurgical Clinics at two major academic teaching hospitals, (Klinikum Amberg and Klinikum Weiden) in Bavaria, Germany. He is also the member of German Neurosurgical Society (DGNC), European Neurosurgical society (EANS), German skull base society (DGSB). He had his Neurosurgical training at University Hospital Aachen (1993-1996) and University Hospital Essen (1996-2000), Germany. His neurosurgical and scientific subspecializations include neuro-oncology, neurovascular surgery, skull base surgery, and neuropediatric surgery. He is the first author of 13 publications in high-ranked Neurosurgical journals and authored several chapters in international neurosurgical reference books and Peer-reviewer for several international journals including ‚Brain Research’, ‘Neurologia India’, ‘Journal of Neurology’, ‘Clinical Neurology & Neurosurgery’, ‘Neurosurgical Review’, ‘Surgical Neurology’, etc. Also, he had Neurosurgical experience including microsurgery on >2000 brain tumors and >800 intracranial vascular malformations with routine application of latest technology including Neuronavigation, microscopic fluorescent techniques, intraoperative monitoring, neuro-endoscopy, etc.

Enam is a US Board certified Neurosurgeon and is Professor of Neurosurgery and Chair, Department of Surgery at the Aga Khan University, Karachi, Pakistan. He has Specialist Certification in Neurosurgery from Canada, an FRCS from Canada, an FRCS from Ireland and a Fellowship of American College of Surgeons. He has been awarded several accolades and honors for his work both in USA and in Pakistan, including Physician of the year medallion, Master Surgeon Award, Excellence in Neurosurgery Award and Sitara-e-Imtiaz, one of the highest honor given to a civilian in Pakistan. Dr. Enam has a strong background in basic science research with a PhD in Neuroscience from Northwestern University, USA. He is a life member of Sigma Xi, a scientific research honor society, as well as founding president of Pakistan Society of Basic and Applied Neuroscience, member of the Executive Committee of AANS-CNS Section of Brain Tumors, and member of the advisory Board of The Science Bridge. He has been editor of several scientific journals and has delivered numerous lectures across the world on Neurosurgery, Neuro-Oncology and Neuroscience topics. He is currently also a faculty member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan and PhD supervisor for the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. He is actively involved in many clinical and basic science research projects and has authored more than 100 manuscripts and articles.

Kita Sallabanda Diaz is currently the president of the Spanish Society of Radiosurgery (SER) and deputy of Neurosurgery of the San Carlos Clinical Hospital, Madrid, Radiosurgery Unit, and Cyberknife. He is also a director of International Master in Radiosurgery of CNS of University Complutense of Madrid. In 1983, he graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine University of Tirana, Albania and in 1992 he was a resident in Neurosurgery at the Department of Neurosurgery, University Hospital ¨Principes de Asturia ¨Bellvitge, Barcelona, Spain. In 1994, he was appointed as a neurosurgeon in the faculty of Medicine at University of Tirana. In 2000, he became the deputy of neurosurgery and head of unit at “Madre Teresa” University of Tirana, Albanian followed by in 2014, he was appointed as the deputy of neurosurgery at Hospital Clinico Universitario ´San Carlos ‘Madrid.

Nicandro Figueiredo is a spinal neurosurgeon from Brazil, fully dedicated to this field since the last 17 years, currently working at Medcare Orthopedic and Spine Hospital (MOSH), in Dubai (UAE). Ihssan S. Nema is currently a professor in neurosurgery at Al-Nahrain University. In 1998 he was appointed at Governmental Hospital and was a resident house officer in Al-Kadhimiya Teaching Hospital in different medical & surgical branches as part of rotating internship. In 2005, he was awarded the degree of "Fellow" of the Iraqi Board of Medical Specialties in Neurosurgery and in 2011 he became an Assistant professor in the Department of Surgery in Al–Nahrain University–College of Medicine and then a Consultant Neurosurgeon and a professor at Department of Surgery in Al–Nahrain University.

Dr. Telmo Augusto Barba Belsuzarri is a neurosurgeon at Brazil. He did his medical and neurosurgery training at the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas. He has specialized in Neurointensive care at the Sirio-Libanês Hospital in Brazil and Transcranial Doppler at the University of California Los Angeles (USA). He is consultant neurosurgeon and researcher in brain aneurysms at the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas and Masters in Neurosurgery in Aneurysm surgery. By now, his surgical group is specialized in Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery - Cranial and Spine approaches with a focus on Cranial Neuroendoscopy and Spine Endoscopic Surgery. Dr. Telmo Belsuzarri is also a reviewer of medical and neurosurgical journals and has several publications and congress presentations. He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Neurosurgery (SBN), American Academy of Neurological Surgery (AANS) and the World Society of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery (WSSFN).

Elixena López Savón, was born on August 14, 1982 in Guantánamo Province, Cuba, as a child she had a vocation for medicine and always dreamed of being a neurosurgeon, She comes from a family of doctors, Her mother is a general practitioner and specialist in Microbiology, her sister is a gynecologist and fertility specialist. She graduated as a doctor in June 2006, working in primary care in rural areas of Cuba, in 2008 She graduated as a specialist general practitioner, and also attended a medical emergency in that same year, after two years, from 2009 to 2011 in Bolivia as intensivist doctor in the town of Villa Tunari, as part of a medical collaboration agreement between Cuba and the Bolivian government. Later She received a Master's degree in Emergency and Medical Emergencies and She started the specialty of Neurosurgery, the surgical branch of which she graduated in 2015, after four years and means of studies, with good teaching and care results at the Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery (INN) of Havana. She worked as a neurosurgeon three years ago in the pediatric hospital "Juan Manuel Márquez" in Havana, city where she had been living since 2013, she has certified courses of spinal surgery, carotid doppler, transfontanel ultrasound, She also have an interventional imaging research course, She was also a member of AOSPINE since 2013, and She has participated in five congresses of this organization held in Havana.

Francisco A. Mannara, M.D., is a neurosurgeon from Buenos Aires and Formosa, in Argentina. He is board certified by the Argentinian Board of Neurosurgery. Dr. Mannará received a degree in Medicine from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina and his neurosurgical degree from the same University. After he completed his residency in Fernández Hospital in Buenos Aires, he was chief of residents and instructor as well in the same hospital. Basic science investigations were done in CONICET, the main center in scientific investigations in Argentina by him. The topic was neural regeneration. He did a WFNS (World Federation of Neurological Surgeons) fellowship in Fujita Health University, in Aichi, Japan, where he learned vascular neurosurgery from world masters in this discipline, such as Prof. Yoko Kato, and Prof. Hirotoshi Sano. Then he visited Prof. Rokuya Tanikawa in Hokkaido, Japan to see the mastering of High Flow Bypass. Once he finalized his fellowship he was traveling around the world to participate in several courses with Prof. Fukushima to learn cranial base approaches and then with Saleem Abdulrauf to learn bypass surgery. He did observerships in Miami, USA, in Jackson Memorial Hospital and in UCSF, in San Francisco, to study more neurovascular techniques from Prof Michael Lawton. To learn spinal surgeries techniques he did an observership travel around Italy. Actually he is staff neurosurgeon in Fernández Hospital , and he is Titular Member in the Argentinian Board of Neurological Surgeons, and international member of CNS and AANS, as well. His interest areas of research are neuromicrosurgery, vascular neurosurgery, skull base neurosurgery, and complex spinal surgery.
